Yes vimek minimaster with driven trailer, only got 16hp but you have to try quite hard to get it stuck. Use it in wet/sensitive woodlands and for first thinning as you don't need to take out any racks. on a good day you night get 15 - 20 ton out.

So what do you guys do with those split lengths? are they split then cut to say 9inch logs? or do you sell em in those length?

 

I guess that they are cut into logs, i don't see the point in cutting billets as you have to handle the wood again to log it.

I split mine like that (they dry quicker) , after a few months of warm dry weather i cut them as you say into 9inch logs on the saw bench.

You dry the billets, then cut them straight into the delivery vehicle, so it can reduce handling

They are split in 3' lenghts, and stacked to dry. They can then cut to what ever size the customer wants. Generally the split lenghts are cut into 4, which most people are happy with. All left over bit come home with me.
