Youth is wasted on the young.:001_smile:

Oh yes! If only they knew😧

Think I'm 46😎. A few bits have been renewed and some fallen off, but my head's still telling me I'm 25.

FFS you being serious Billhook :001_huh: ????

I am 45 and up ferret.

Normal farmworker test in Norfolk! Sort the men out from the boys.

Started with 16 stone sacks which were put on your back with a sack lift, but eight stone sacks were normal to be lifted off the ground.

I have a video somewhere of me doing ten "push-ups" from the shoulder with a four stone weight. Cannot do that anymore.

Not so much the actual weight but the bloody awkwardness of the thing which made it difficult.

In my Dads' day 2 and a quarter cwt was a standard sack of grain. That's 18 stone. Sacks were placed on your back to be carried up the granary steps...a test for any man!

The old cement bags were knee wobblers for me and my 10 stone when I was 16.

I remember having to take 1 from Largs to Millport from Harcross, that was a ferry and a bus journey with a bag of cement and a fair bit of walking inbetween.

My boss probably just got me to do it for a laugh.
