Unimog legalities?!

Well my mog is Ag reg it is used for a chip truck so as far as I see it I cant use red i get free Tax and No mot I dont take it on the Motorway (dont have any near us)

 

but If I want to tow a trailer on it for Arb work/carry chip /wood I have to have an O licance and use a Taccograph

I dont think I would ever use red because its not worth the hassle + No one can tell me for sure if i can use it.

 

As much as we all talk about this issue (seen loads of threads about it) I dont think any of us really no the answers

I think if oyur unsure if u can go on a motorway, Tow, use red just dont do it simply

 

I think you can include VOSA and the Police in that mate!

because 99% of tractors sold after 2005 are NOT Fastrac or Unimog and given almost all FWA (front wheel assist) tractors have rigid rear ends with NO rear axel sprung suspension what so ever.

i was talking about cab and front suspention on tractor thats not fastrac or unimog.. i cant think of a tractor in our area that doesnt have both.. majority of tractors in mid 2000 all came standard with both...

99% of tractors that are newer than 05 will have suspended and sprung rear and front axles.. and half will do 50kph

You said "sprung rear axel", not cab.

sorry for confusion.. by rear axel i mean the cab is suspended..giving the same ride as a fastrac or a mog.. or better on bigger tractors.. obviously the rear axel is attatched to back end, gearbox etc then to engine so couldnt be suspended..

 

The solid back-end makes them less safe at higher speeds.
