Weighed off the landy

Doing conifers today, when I had got what I would call a smallish load in I threw one saw, climbing kit, tool kit, petrol and blower in and went to weigh off.

 

I was gobsmacked when they told me I was 3740kg with driver.

 

No passenger, no lowering gear or other gear!!

 

Got some serious thinking to do.

 

I've had half as much more load in as that before!

You know it's bad when the weighbridge operator wont look at you.The last time that I put mine over, it was free as they were SURE that I didn't need a ticket.

 

I took a lot of kit off.

Hence the reason I got an operators licence and a lorry...

Obviously landys are particularly bad, but any 3.5 tonne vehicle used for tree work is going to be overweight a lot. I know mine is, and as soon as i can I will be going for a 7.5 tonner.

we've just had to replace the springs on one of the transits for the millionth time!! turned 'em inside out again!!

This is why I got my mog Dean, as I have said before with a 3.5 tonner your over loaded by morning brew.
