Save the dosh and get spannered boyo, that is definitely a better option!

If you already have Makita kit then stick with them, you won’t go wrong.

Recently bought this 3/4” drive nut gun off aliexpress, advertised as 3000nm of torque ( it’s not) but does make short work of truck wheel nuts. Not had it long enough to evaluate,first impressions are good.

Milwaukee here (3/4" Fuel one). Makita equivalent has actually proven better at tractor wheel nuts. Either way, an absolute essential in our line. Must have saved months of time by now.

I use the Dewalt power tools and have been thinking about an impact gun for a while, this thread has gave me the kick I need, will have a look in 2 weeks time at the January sales and see if there is and Dewalt impacts on offer.

Battery impact wrenchs have improved in the last 5 years, not many if any fitters use air tools.

Still no answer on what torque I need in the loader thread, so I’ll have a play with my Teng torque wrench and see what they’re nipped up to.

My mate has lent me his mid-range Makita, so I’ll have a play with that and report.
