  1. Christmas! Can F off.
  2. Kelfri is junk. Or was anyway.
  3. Unbelievable. Ridiculous. Jinxed. Fubar. Relentless. Insane. Extreme. Incomprehensible. Staggering. Nonsensical. Lamentable. Cursed. Horrible. Evil. Abominable. Abysmal. In other words, HELL. And the forecast for April is the same. Doomed!
  4. Absolutely batshit bonkers. Had heavy snow last night which actually settled followed by lashing rain and storm forecast now .Never ever known anything like it. Was looking at some statistics; we've had here almost 2/3 of the years annual rainfall already - in less than 3 months. October thru December '23 were the wettest in 30 years. And February and March this year the wettest ever recorded. Crop yields this year approaching apocalyptic failure.
  5. You wanna get into timber. 90+ hours a week at times and rarely if ever over £20k per annum take home.
  6. Well the oil pump runs clockwise end on, so it's what I was taught before most on here were born.
  7. Sorry, should have read the thread to the end before posting 🤦
  8. You rotate the chain backwards?
  9. Re tipex / marker pen yada yada. Can't understand the need. The sharpened teeth are bright, the remaining ones dull. Freshly filed metal is abundantly obvious.
  10. And so it goes on. An on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on... Game over now for working the job.
  11. I'm looking at old photographs from 2020. It had been the wettest winter ever from end Sept 2019 through to March 2020. Then it went arid for the lockdown! Winter 23-24 has far surpassed those levels. Still chucking it down, relentless, every day without mercy. Big J - count your blessings!
  12. Mebor fan here too 👍
  13. Only to be ruined by yesterday and all last night. 💩ing it down.
  14. Way way way beyond a joke now. I actually can't find the words. Incessant rain for what feels like months and February the icing on the cake. And so it goes on into March. Something is very badly wrong. Please don't just say CC. I'm going to need counselling after this. Four times the normal amount of rainfall apparently last month.
  15. The position for Forestry is bend over and be shafted by Euroforest.
  16. Questions to Unimog "experts". I know very little about them and tbh have never had any interest. However it was suggested to me that one might provide the answer to secondary forwarding conundrums. Where our timber contractor can't put wood roadside due to site constraints etc, a tractor and trailer has so far provided the missing link. Would however, a Unimog be more suitable for road work? Steep learning curve and I won't be operating it. I've gleaned a little information as follows so far but correct me if I'm wrong. White diesel. Commercial not agricultural restrictions. Next to no hitch weight*. Crane can be mounted on unit. GTW 41 tonnes. Possible upto 23/24 tonnes on trailer. Assume trailer needs triple axles centrally located*. 56mph. Ability to multitask i.e move plant too. Like I say, all new to me. Appreciate your expertise and experience. Cheers then.
  17. Right. I've been looking at photographs from winter 19-20. There are more than expected with brighter skies than I recall. Odd. Now convinced this winter 23-24 has actually been worse. Endless days of very dull, very wet conditions. You'll be glad you're not here! It's really miserable. If you suffer from S.A.D, here* is not the place to be!
  18. Wettest winter I can remember. Maybe on par with 2019-20; that was never ending too. Looking forward to a drought and a heatwave from March thru October. Cheers.
