The irony of Sharon, (31, Double D cup), driving her children to school in a SUV.

ROAD.CC

US study found SUVs were involved in much fewer crashes than standard cars – but in twice as many fatal ones

And that's before we go into air quality and other detriments

Well that's only really relevant if the SUV is driving down the footpath.

Anyhow,my SUV has a 5.7 liter fuel injected V8,leather interior with a little fold out picnic table in the middle between the seats, cup holders, heated pneumatic seats,7 ashtrays and uses ungodly amounts of fuel but what else is petrol made for?

Sounds an awful lot like victim blaming there.

How dare that 7 year old running across the road dent Sharon's SUV with her skull! The nerve!

Have you been to a school recently?

Having children in the back, (and hazard lights), gives Sharon , (31, Double D cup), license to drive wherever the fck she wants. And the airborne shite her SUV emits cares even less about behaving and sticking nicely to the road.

Yeah... I don't think we disagree? At the moment I'm in a 1.9 Passat that I'm quite literally driving into the ground (story ongoing, as we speak!). I need a bigger vehicle.

Sharon on the school run doesn't. She needs a mid-sized estate.

That’s the thing Peds.

What will you buy instead?

Looking at various years and values of Hilux at the moment. Seems a good choice for the west coast of Ireland, a lot of long-lived specimens around.

The tax is what the tax is... I feel we should probably pay a bit more anyway, seeing as the campervan doesn't cost us much in the grand scheme of things, either tax or insurance.

I was stuck in the Passat on the roadside for half an hour earlier, clutch not engaging... managed to nurse it into gear after the engine had warmed up, and just repeated the process now... but I hope I can do it at 0700 tomorrow as well. I've topped up the hydraulic fluid, that might help?

I'm not mad at the Passat, that thing has been asked for a lot over the last six years. I'm surprised it's lasting as long as it has.
