So you can’t name any of the things he’s done then, I think it’s fair to say that this statement was a bit of an overstatement. 😂

No, I just can't be arsed trying to highlight what he's done to someone so full of hatred for something they've never even tried to watch and just continues to play dumb.

Maybe instead of propping up the bar of an evening or just being a nuisance to the locals sniffing loo seats, maybe watch a bit of TV and learn about the world further than the end of your nose.

I don’t need to watch TV to learn about the world, i work internationally and experience the world every day.

Supermarket price fixing.

TB.

Badgers.

Effects of weather.

Planning issues.

Environmental red tape madness.

Increased costs esp. fertiliser.

Public awareness of meat food chain.

Sustainable forestry.

Importance of pollinators.

Importance of hedgerows.

That’s for starters.

He also freely admits that he can prop up his farm by knocking out a few episodes of ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’.

Most can’t.

Yes, it’s scripted and made for (very) good TV, but there is a message behind it all.

It’s actually quite depressing when he sits down with Charlie and things get serious.

Unless you are a hermit or your pretty dim, all those issues have been hitting the headlines and debated in parliament for decades, nothing new here.
As for Charley boy, don’t get me started on that.

Presumably with the introduction of inheritance tax wealthy land owners won’t be interested in buying up farm land as a tax loop hole though. Which would in turn make it a less attractive investment, lower demand, lower the value making it more affordable and actual farmers are able to pass on more land tax free.

It's still at half the rate of other IHT and as it is rate free it costs nothing to keep hold of.

Round here it is so urbanised that very little land is producing food, the gain in value and "hope" make owning it worthwhile.

It annoys me but both the farms I worked on in the 70s are gone.
