It also helps if the saw wasn't running when it gets dunked.

Yup, I fixed a 361 which had been dunked while running, the hydraulic lock when the piston hit water stopped it so suddenly that the flywheel sheared its locating key. New flywheel sorted it.

Have you seen an increase in fuel problems since e10 fuel mark ?

The very experienced local bloke, like he has been there 25 or 30 years, that got my FS200 running again quite recently, said to avoid E10.

That they have cause to associate it with, presumably, a significent increase in carburettor issues, particularly? on strimmers/ brushcutters.

I’ve got no end of problems at the moment with saws that have sat …. Some of these are nearly new saws too

I went through hinxworth the other day for the first time in 12 years … I suddenly regretted not filling my boot with bad running saws 😂

I would say yes. I get a lot more machines in for repair that have carb issues these days. Although, a lot of the machines are either stihl blowers which ive covered on another thread or machines that have haven't been used for approx 6 months. I think that a switch to super unleaded or whatever the equivalent is of E5 might be worth doing. Its not a massive increase in price of the daily costs but it could be worth it in the long run.
