I watched a bit of it. Good luck to anyone who wants to come here to work. Let the lazy dole ponces fester in their own shite, if they aint moaning about one thing than its another.

It's a lot more complicated than was put across in that programme. They selected people, as has already been said, who would make good tv not who would give an fair comparison of a hard working eastern european and a hard working english person.

I'm sure there are plenty of lazy poles etc in their own countries. But we aren't going to see them here: if you haven't got it in you to work, your not going to regardless of where you're from.

They should be allowed to come here as economic migrants, and work when there are jobs for them. But don't allow them to come here and put their kids in schools, when they can't speak a word of english and have to spend extra money out of the education budget to teach them. Or allow them to remain here when there is no work for them, like happened when the construction industry collapsed, and claim benefits for them and their families. I couldn't believe it when I heard they could claim child benefits on kids they don't even have in the country with them!

Make use of them to the country's advantage, then as soon as they start costing money: get rid.

 

Not many, as in their country if they don't work they will starve!!

 

The biggest problem with our country is not working is an option!!!

Having worked abroad for a number of years I consider myself an ex migrant worker, those of us working abroad were “there to work” and were keen and diligent employees across a variety of trades.

 

Anyone basing an opinion of the British worker would think them worth having. Indigenous employees (particularly in the building game) were often “miffed” about the productivity of migrants who were often paid pro rata.

I never watched it as previously said its made for TV so its not going to give a true representation of the situation.

I would add though that if they stopped the dole money it would force a high percentage of unemployed to steal rather than work and crime rate would sore.

As a lazy person may rather steal for a day than work for five as its the easiest option for them.

the only reason i am a grafter is because my parents are, some people arent as lucky in life to be blessed with such a gift. I would of chucked all my crappy jobs as a kid and teenager but i was to scared of what my dad would say, and if you started something then you followed it through. Now it is ingrained in me, its what gets us up in the mornings in the cold and wet and we head off out to work in auto pilot, becaus eits what you should do, even on a day off, i am restless as if i am doing something wrong lol

While I don’t question the reality of the “Jeremy Kyle” set, the prologue says they interviewed the candidates, when they did that they selected the ones that would make good telly not provide a cross section of British society.

 

The programme makers achieved their goal. Personally I wouldn’t have watched it but I just iplayer’d it.

There are plenty of lazy gits but well until they cant survive on benefits there always will be.

 

Some of you musta have had a bit of bad luck with employees since tbh I reckon that at the very least 50% of the people I have worked with/for have been very hard workers 40% good workers and the other 10% who you wouldnt bother with.

 

Then again I'm prob one of the 10% so every one looks good to me:thumbup:

 

 

I think they should bring back national service and as someone else said above no one should not be working they should at least be doing community service to pay for there dole money.

 

 

I have been unemployed after leaving school and it is very easy(well was to me ) to get lazy and not want to work.

 

If it gets a grip of you it can be tough to get back into it so community service would get people out there and of there arse's, once they see it isnt as bad as they think I'm sure many would look for permanent work.

me too, My old man taught me so much i am greatfull not sure if his working 7 days a week in the dark or untill 8 pm is still the way to go but i feel lucky!

 

Last polish labourer i haad was usless ! more than any employer i have ever had..... transpires his dad was a doctor...

Never be ashamed to be English, or British. this is a great country, how else could such a small island sustain 70 million people?

 

 

I'm not ashamed to be British but I'm not proud either. As for supporting 70 million people we're not are we? Look at the national debt!!

 

 

 

It's all very well saying make people on the dole work for their benefits but all that happens if you do that is they sign on the sick and get even more!
