Just got back from the APF 24, I thought it was a good show and enjoyed it, anyone else attend and if so what did you think?

Yes I thought it was bigger and better than the last one and plenty of machinery 😊

I really enjoyed it but should have camped for 2 nights.

 

I thought the bar and food stalls not accepting cash was bloody ridiculous though.

 

It’s also a pita not being able to get hold of anyone because of swamped bandwidth on phones.

 

Maybe could have a big notice board like we used to have at uni or something?

Really good show, met lots of interesting people. The logging championships were impressive, especially the hot saws.

The no sleeping in vehicles was a pain, so spent 2 nights in the car park.

The Rotatilt stand let me play, and I was sold until I worked out that I could only lift 100 kg with it on the end of my digger. ( I won't mention the £24k price tag)

I went up on Saturday this year rather than Friday. The show seemed pretty empty of visitors compared to the Friday we went the last time. This is by no means a complaint, it was nice to be able to walk around without fighting through crowds and being able to talk to dealers without waiting for ages was really nice.

As said by others the food places not taking cash was a pain, and the food seemed to be particularly rubbish even for  catering vans. Also as said the phone network being blocked most of the day wasn’t the best. 
On the whole though a really good day out and will definitely be going again in 2 years time.

We went on the Thursday, it’s amazing the lengths some companies will go to, Stihl had a barber shop on their stand not sure I was too welcome though, a colleague  paid cash for his sausage and chips not a card?
