Its not a bad idea tbh. They should have some form of MOT imo. Chippers included, plus all the other tow behind plant.

Even if it was only ever two years it would get rid of the crap off the road.

Or, as they do here in France, all trailers (over 500kg) have their own log book.

It's not often I'm for more red tape, but agreed on this, purely for some of the absolute scrap I've seen dragged behind vans (and dragged myself when I was employed). Dodgy wouldn't begin to describe some of it.

Do you have to itemise each log by species as well, or just weight?
