Is anyone else super quiet?

Sunday was a lovely sunny day. Me and a few friends went to a pub which is a known spot for people to spend the day in the lovely garden by the River Trent. I said to my mate, why the hell is it so quiet?! This place is always buzzing when it's a lovely sunny day. He replied, people haven't got any money. Everything is so expensive now. I was paying £10 for a double gin and tonic, city centre is probably closer to £13/14!  Even going for a coffee and spot of breakfast for two these days is over £30. Then I thought wtf! It probably explains why my work is so quiet.  Maybe people are now really holding off and trying to do the work themselves or just holding back until it's absolutely essential for hedge trimming/tree work. Is anyone else in a similar position?

I have been quiet, got a few juicy ones waiting for the ground to dry up so I can get the Avant on the ground.

 

Biggest single factor is the weather at the moment.

 

Did a job yesterday clearing a river of trees and stuff, pissed down all morning.

By the time we’d finished I couldn’t get the Ranger out of the property (not a garden as such, a grassed area sloping down to the river bank) Had to get a tractor to pull me out.

Absolute bloody carnage on the ground.

I’ll have to go back with the digger in June to try and fix it.

I hadn't realised that France had been as badly affected by the extreme rainfall that we have had.

Things are ridiculously expensive. We popped out to a local garden center yesterday for something to do. 1 coffee, 1 coke, 2 cakes, and 2x softplay at £2 each cost £19, before we even spent any money on anything else

Prices are crazy at the moment, we were in Ambleside over the weekend, I know it’s a tourist place so prices are generally higher, but over £6 for a pint, £4-5 for a coffee and average £15 for burger and chips, before you know it it’s nearing £50 for a couple to have  (what used to be) a cheap lunch out. Throw a couple of kids in the mix and that’s £100 gone in less than an hour.
