Just got a small stump grinder, how do you lot stop the teeth chawing putting a hole in trailer floor. Was thinking some type of foot for the front or just a lump of wood with groove cut in it.

I use bits of gravel board off cuts fixed in an L shape with some braces in the corner. Take maybe 10 minutes to make from the off cuts pile. Lasts me a few months before I have to make a new one. Protects the wooden floor and stops the teeth chewing into the head board.

Similar here, a couple bits of board offcuts from the mill to protect the trailer.

Saw someone once that had a piece of rubber stable mat screwed in to cradle the wheel.

My stump grinder guard is a bit of 18mm ply cut into 3 with hole in each corner for a rope, so I just lay those down first and park grinder on top.

Unless it's on the way home from a fell and grind then I'll just push the grinder on to the edge of the chip pile.
