Super car track experience .

So , for my birthday back in January I was given an "Everyman Racing " driving experience . I got to choose from Ferrari . Lambo , Aston , Audi R8 etc etc . I have chosen the Mercedes AMG . Just booked it for this coming Thursday . Its at Goodwood circuit which I know quite well having manages a 1min 28 second lap ( about 20 years ago ) on my Honda fireblade . It has been resurfaced since then but I do know were the track goes . Slightly different lines for a car than a bike I realize but am looking forward to it . Anyone else done this or similar ?

Good luck with that Andy. I think time on a bike sort of gives you a good approach to apexes and cleanest ways in and out of corners....plus a bit too much competitiveness than is probably healthy.

We got my son a drive experience when he was 18, he chose Lotus which was a great car and he really enjoyed it. As I recall it was going round with a driver next to him, so he listened really well and got a few laps in the circuit.

 

I remember there was a young lady there who apparently didn't listen well and span off, think it was Lambo. Broken spoiler, end of lap, car had to be towed back in, lost deposit, etc etc.

I won an internet competition from Volvo, a half day at Goodwood.... . First was being driven in a V70. Then they allowed me to drive in the same car... Then an arctic truck, with trailer, one lap! Then onto construction equipment playing around in sand in a dumper and excavator, then the eco bit was doing some land yachting...  Fab day!

Enjoyed a Fomula Ford (I think) experience there years ago.

When we arrived my 5-year old daughter started picking up handfuls of gravel in the car park and randomly throwing them up in the air.  We soon stopped her when they started landing on someone's very shiny Aston 😮

Back in the day got a day at Millbrook testing ground on a Company car day, lots of manufacturers there with range of cars to try on the test track and the oval. Great fun my favourite was a Honda S2000. Enjoy your day.

I worked for Honda in a previous life when the S2000 was launched and did a few events at Millbrook - it’s an amazing place to thrash around!

Me and my brother once did a race day thing but was gutted that we were not allowed to drop the Lamborghini into 2nd gear around the small track,ruined it a bit.
