I can’t afford a house,,well I could but it would mean a lot of work, so after taking a blow to the head today I’m going to look at this tomorrow, if it looks alright and the out of water survey comes back ok I’ll be moving, slowly.

I've heard folk do live aboard and moorings were reasonable etc    ..... check on if you can still use red diesel etc. Good luck 👍

Red is fine, there is a split between propulsion and domestic though.

The only time I’ve encountered narrow boat life is some work I did years ago at Chichester marina. 
Took some trees out overhanging some over a canal.
Interesting, but not for me. 
You’re experienced at it so it’s eyes wide open.

That is spooky Mick . We were taking 20 feet or so off the poplars right at the end near the lock gates . Got to know some of the people there too .

Will you be largely moored up or plan to be transient?

I’ll cruise initially until I can find a suitable mooring. I’ll do casual work for agencies along the way.
