OCS are cracking live.

I reckon Tubeway Army’s ‘Are Friends Electric?’ would make a good protest song these days.

Saw SLF at Tunstall town hall, think it was '84. Also saw OCS at Hyde Park, think that was '96.

I've spent the weekend at Victorious festival in Portsmouth. Ocean Colour Scene were a good blast from the past and played a decent protest song they wrote around the start of the first gulf War.

I didn't care about that though, I was only there for The Day We Caught The Train.

The Day we caught the train was my go-to 12 Pints then lets murder this down the Microphone whenever my mates would be playing live.

The whole of that Mosely shoals album is decent to be fair. Proper nostalgia for me

A lot of Flogging Molly songs qualify but sometimes feel contrived.

Here's a corker of a cover of Worker's Song by the Dropkick Murphys. It's originally a protest song from the seventies, I know it from a more folky version but this version has a real energy about it that screams protest.
