I've googled bits and pieces you've said before and never hit upon any revelations. Maybe I missed the point. Maybe I wasn't clever enough. Maybe I gave up too easily. Maybe all. I'll make a point of performing proper prep the next time you post something intriguing.

Just a thought, but if some of you spent less time playing to the gallery, we might have a more useful conversation.

Is posting some rubbish just to get a few of the regulars to 'like' your post really the best use of your time?

To be fair you do post a lot of Mystic Meg type guff. Very secret squirrel backed up with 'trust me bro'.

Maybe we never actually get to the details because we always end up having pointless conversations like this every time I post anything and I give up.

Maybe, but I doubt it. Instead of actually taking any of this criticism onboard you tend to just go all Confucius on us and dont actually answer anything. You'd give a Politician a run for his money based on your answering but not actually answering and finishing up with a pinch of gaslighting.

Look at the threads I've been involved in, in any kind of meaningful way. We start to have a sensible conversation (as Mick and I were doing), and then the usual suspects make some noise to get a few 'likes', and it all goes to sh!t.

Anyway, we are flogging a dead horse here. Another potentially useful thread gone to the trolls.

You dont think the trolling started when you posted this cringefest? I mean seriously, its laughable.

I know stuff that nobody else on this forum knows. If we are talking content for your website, marketing, understanding clients, improving conversion rates, persuading staff to work harder or anything of that nature, my knowledge and experience will be unparalleled on this forum (or actually, any forum).

Look into my eyes, not around the eyes, into the eyes, one two three...

I have never experienced any shortage of climbers/groundies in the UK, quite the reverse, the UK is saturated with them. Colleges and training providers are spewing them out constantly, most of them thinking they are the finished article after a couple of months. Lots of them are up to their necks in debt after arranging cheap finance deals to buy shiney new kit that most people have spent years building up to owning, they then devalue the job by going in low simply to find the monthly finance repayments.

Every decent climber with a good work ethic that I have worked with wants to go out on their own long term, which makes them virtually impossible to hold onto in an employed role. The rest are crap to mediocre (despite how they see themselves) and their payment in an employed role reflects their skill level and attitude.

I have never heard of anyone using a recruitment agency to find Arb staff either. Most people I have worked with are head hunted through having a good reputation in the industry and through word of mouth.

All that applies to quite a few industries, I expect most of it applies to most industries.

It probably does but that doean't make it less relevent I think. @Mick Dempsey's idea of discussing issues and how to deal with them is a good one and it certainly seems to have provoked a lot of conversation. Thanks for commenting. Kate
