  1. Our client is an established Tree Care business based in Bermuda who are now looking for a Climbing Arborist to assist their team with work all over the island. The work is mainly residential tree care with some landscaping and occasional utility work. Suitable candidates must have at least two years climbing experience and have tickets for aerial use of a chainsaw. You will be expected to drive but this will involve taking a test once in Bermuda to gain a local licence . You must have a clean police record and be over 21 years of age. The company will arrange the work permit and Visa for you which can take 3-6 months and provide the first months accommodation. Candidate can come with married partner but spouse would have to get their own work permit. In return, you will be paid from $26 BMD /hour gross ( Β£20/hour) for a 45 hour week with overtime available.Taxes and healthcare come in at circa 22% so similar to UK.   3. Our client is a long standing, Arb Association Approved Contractor based in West London. They have a vacancy for an Office manager to oversea their office functions. The role would involve working alongside 2 office staff to manage all the admin functions around servicing their tree contracts with Local Councils, the National Trust, Crown Estates alongside domestic customers. If you have good IT skills, an Arboricultural background , are used to supervising people and are now looking to work in a warm and dry environment, this role might be of interest. The in house IT system generates quotes, invoices & management data to help support this varied and busy role .The offices are informal, friendly and fun and hours would be 8 -4 or 9 -5.   6. Are you an experienced arborist with some commercial experience looking to come off the tools? Or do you know anyone who fits that description? If so this role could be of interest: Our client is a West London based Arboricultural Association approved contractor working mainly in the residential sector. They now require an Estimator Contract Manager. The job is varied and will include monitoring and supervising the teams, being responsible for some pricing and processing of quotes and conducting and delivering associated reports and method statements. This is an opportunity for the experienced climbing arborist who wants to come off the tools and is practised at good Visual Tree Assessment techniques and has proficient IT skills; a level 3 in Arb would be an advantage. The role is remote working in the NW, W & SW London areas with occasional working on site; part-time applicants will be considered. A salary of 38k is offered, negotiable depending on experience, plus a generous discretionary bonus structure. The job benefits from 28 days paid holiday leave (inc Banks) and the possibility of a company vehicle and fuel card to use during work hours. Here;s what we're looking for: A utility Arborist is required to join this growing company based in Herefordshire.The work will cover Herefordshire, Worcestershire and parts of the West Midlands, servicing their WPD contract .   10. Interesting points @Mr. Squirrel . Lots to think about there. I find it hard to square the circle of a saturated market from our angle when it's so difficult to find people for roles. Maybe, as you said before, that's our problrm alone but it doesn't feel that way. It's a complicated situation. Kate

We're now collecting feedback. Lots of arborists have commented on different social media platforms and over the next couple of days we're collating these views. If any of you have anything to add here we'll make sure it's included in our feedback to the Arb Association. We want to get that off to them by Friday 31st March.   12. Hi, all - do you know anyone who might be interested in this role? 🌳 Arb Officer/Inspector needed Watford area - Β£39k p/a 🌳 Our client manages the tree stock for Watford Borough Council. They require an Arb Manager who can manage their tree maintenance programmes; the role will involve inspecting the tree stock, instructing tree works and liaising with the Arb Contractors to ensure all works are carried out to specifications. You will also be the point of contact for the Council on tree-related matters as and when required. Candidates should be qualified to a minimum of a Level 3 in Arboriculture, have experience in inspecting trees, ideally in a Local Authority context and of using tree management software. They should be a good communicator and computer literate. The role is temporary for circa 3 to 6 months with the opportunity to go permanent after a probationary period for the right candidate.
