Every Sunday morning I’d be in the workshop, sharpening saws, changing blades etc. Just pottering really, Wrighty on the digital radio.

He had certain songs he’d play regularly that you’d never hear anywhere else, quirky ones like this.

I had no idea who sang it, I just Googled ‘Moses the cat song’

Been listening to him since the radio 1 days - such a shame at no great age at all ☹️

Started work  listening to mr angry and Julian the social worker among others, a true professional I’m absolutely gutted, it makes me feel old!

I’ve just spent 3 hours driving home listening to radio 2 and have cried several times - very sad, such a brilliant dj who in reality has been in my conscience forever. The best broadcaster ever as far as I’m concerned.
