Would you do it?

Looking at a splitter in birmingham which is miles away from me in Devon. its over 7k with transport. owner has made a bit of effort to provide transport quotes but didn't seam keen to send new photos or a video of it working. is there a 'safe' way to transfer funds/receive splitter without risk to both parties? should I just leave it?

7k purchase, I would probably spare the extra hundred or so to go and see it, might be that hiring a suitable self drive vehicle to take it back would be similar to the transport quotes thr seller found if you have nothing suitable to take it home with.

Of course, if you suggest this option the seller would be accomodating for you to do this - saves them the hassle of waiting in for somen to collct it

Get a grip its M5 all the way mostly and that must be a hell of a splitter for 7K. He sends decent photos ect and if looks the part set off at 6am you will be there by 10/11am

If he can put it on Facebook but not manage to provide a video or even photos I would stay clear or offer to pay transport and payment on delivery.
