What brand of folding saws is equal cutting ability to Silky saws but at lower cost?

Unfortunately you get what you pay for,and i,ve not found anything yet as good as Silky,i bought a Stihl once and it was good for about a week and that was that, you pay for Silky but you only pay once

You get what you pay for I would say. It depends what you want to be cutting with a folding saw? The cheaper end of the silky folding saws are not much more than £20.00 and they are good. I use Silky and ARS and have used others in the past but don't see the point in using a cheaper saw that doesn't speed up your working time or effort. IMHO. :thumbup1:

As above really, there's nothing on a par with Silky. I'm currently using a Samurai saw, a Japanese cheaper version. It's good, better than any other brand I think, but still noticeably inferior to a Silky. Judged on a value for money basis it might actually be better, its about half the price of the Silky equivalent, but much better than half as good.

As said above felco bahco and ars are decent saws, wolf garten are OK too but you will not get better than a silky, for what they cost its a small investment. What's in it? 20 quid? A pittance over the lifetime of the tool.

I got a Cutting Edge Trojan 360 or something as a backup to my Zubat 330 because it was 50% off on FR Jones; it works, but it's pure shite compared to the Silky. I'd get another cheap one again, but I'd definitely not pay full price for one. I'd put the money towards another Silky.

The silky For what they cost don’t think it’s bad your getting a quality tool and it will pay for its self in no time and it will last a long time we’ll worth the cash 💷 in my opinion . Don’t be tight lol 😂 get one bought you won’t regret it 👍
