That's a shame on a day like this as a pint of cold lager is heavier than a cup of tea.

We'll have one for you mate. Cheers.

Reminds me of an old alcoholic In my old local. He was frail as you can imagine and looked like he would keel over at any minute. Landlord used to serve his lager in a shot glass as that was as much as he could lift 😂

Had 4 hernia's manly caused by some other surgery I'd had, was due to have them seen to in Oct 2019 and was cancelled a couple of days before I went in due to cancer patients. It was re-booked and due to happen before the 1st lockdown and that got canned as well.

They came back in October last year and it all happened incredibly quickly and was having it done 2 weeks later in November.

Had open surgery and a complete stomach wall reconstruction going right down to one in the groin, the recovery was fine although I was told not to lift a 1/2 full kettle for the 1st few weeks and had to wear a support ..... 3 months and I was back to normal.

had two inguinal hernias, 14 months apart the first repair failed.  one open surgery one keyhole.

in terms of recovery zero difference surgeon wouldnt clear me for work until 12 weeks after each

watch pain meds post surgery, and watch how soon you go poo after surgery or its entirely no fun if stuff stops moving!

both were private within 6 weeks, nhs was over 2 years wait so sod that

do follow advice, dont push recovery and just see how pain is some days will hurt more than others.

Thats good advice. I got a big bottle of lactolose and dosed myself up until stuff started moving and kept myself on a regular dose until I was done with the painkillers.

I’ve just had a dull pain just above my pubic bone for a few weeks, nothing too dramatic and no lumps.

Doc felt the area, made me cough and said he’s pretty sure that’s what it is.

Ultrasound scan on Wednesday will hopefully reveal more.
