Big fallen Poplar with TPO - Advice wanted

Hi All.

Woke up this morning to a big Poplar that, was standing at the rear of our garden, to one that is now 3/4 down and hung up into next doors rear scrub boundary.

With it having a TPO, am I best off leaving well alone until I've sought advice from the LPA ? First TPO I've had any experience of.

It's not in a dangerous state, & I've spoken to the neighbour to make them aware.

Thanks, JD

If it poses no threat then take your time and inform the LA.

what was the cause do you think?  & has it affected the other tree in the picture?

oh and nice positive posting Kris - don’t you have a rusting Landy to crawl under?

It's been on the lean since we moved in, but stable until now. Previous owner had it looked at by a pro who apparently gave it the ok. Last night it obviously decided it fancied a lie down. I was woken up at 3am to the sound of wood splintering, very weird experience.
