Heated saw handles pros and cons?

The heater element is sandwiched between the filter housing and back of the car, there is a double connection from the generator, one to the carb element the other off to the top handle, you can disconnect here, then remove the element, then remove the thermostat from the top of the carb, i remove all the wiring, but this means dismantling the heater switch on the handle.

Someone in the Jonsered part of the family thought things through and on the 2171 WH you have a 3 position switch 1, handle heat centre, all off, 3 handle and carb heat on. In the manual it also gives a warning about heating the carb for to long.

My 372 has the same switch.

Wish they sold heated handled brushcutters over here also

Glad I'm not the only one!! Brushcutting  in winter can be grim. Hands stuck out away from the body and being swung through cold air

You can get heated gloves from biker shop. Rig up little lithium battery harness, could give some relief on frosty mornings . K
