Hello Connagh, where u based?
I'm very biased toward the tracked Peruzzo as has become an absolute pleasure listening to the feedback from customers.
Go Peruzzo u won't look back..

Of course you are biased! You sell them! You would be a Muppet to be biased to another make! I am biased to GreenMech because I am have used/owned them and have now worked for them for 20 years. They were one of the first to pioneer the Wee Chipper market and the base for this thread!

I think the M500 is a little over priced in my honest opinion a nice machine but to spend that kind of money i would have to do tree work every day 6 days a week to ever get my money back and that’s saying wether there is that amount of tree work out there I’m more of a gardener/landscaper and only do the odd chipping etc i would only be using it once or twice a week in the summer then maybe 3-4 days a week in the winter. I have thought about the power barrow in all honesty

Similar to you I thought it is expensive and I don't use it every day, so I went secondhand. I actually don't know how old mine is, multiple owners, but everything is repairable and it's pretty strong anyway.

For me this is a reason to avoid the cheap Chinese ones, the established brands with spares backup hold value well so after buying something like CS100 you can sell it again a few years on, cost of ownership per year then starts to look good.

why not buy a track barrow, then mount the cs100 on the chassis of it? well below the weight limits of most track bases, can stay garden gate width, coukd even make a ramp and put a small winch on the barrow. pull the cs100 onto it, move to where you want it then roll it off. use barrow to move logs, then load up the chipper again
