i use the Gator stuff

It won't separate if its mineral oil . ( nothing to separate ) but it will b e subject to ambient temperature . Viscus when cold runny when warm .

I think the Stihl has a date on and specified to last 7 years, but I think that's just Germans being thorough - as Stubby said can't really imagine it going off.

Unless you have bio-oil, then anything could happen.

i need to just take a second to check it against some other stuff sometime, just seems a bit odd but it's probably total fine and just me!

Clark Forest Bio all the way for me. I haven't used mineral oil for about 20 years!!!

For years now I have only used bio chain oil, mainly Buxtons, sometimes Stihl. Pours much better in the cold, and always using the right stuff environmentally.
