I thought that was the mods peeps did to it to move away from the 3/8 lopro convert it to 1/4

Yes, Panther bars from Rob are available with correct pitch, that's what I put in my Makita battery saw.

I honestly wouldn’t bother with the Panther bar, we’re pretty careful with ours and it didn’t last long at all. I couldn’t get hold of Rob, guess they’re busy, so in the end I bought the 10” stihl bar and chain for a 150 and used that, works brilliantly. It does however mean drilling a new tensioner hole in the Stihl bar so it fits the echo.

The 1/4 inch is much smoother with no grab. Used a 2511 recently on 3/8, first time for quite a while and it was very grabby with lots of vibration!

Yes, Stihl bar straight on with another link in the Stihl Micro P chain, plus sprocket change.

10" Panther bar and chains ordered from chainsawbars.co.uk today.

It came with a 1/4 drive but I was expecting it to be a much narrower chain.

Saw chains, bicycle tyres and French social charges are 2 things which confuse me, 3 things, 3 things, see how confused I get...?

For the future, you don't have to modify the stihl bar, you just need an extra drive link in the chain loop. 57dl.

I am wanting to try running 3/8 43 gauge chain on my echo 2511

 

Does a stihl rollamatic e mini light bar fit the echo with plus 1 drive link?

It’s numb on 3/8.
