...... By speeding up - it pulls it straight. If you slow it gets worse. I dont know the science behind it but I have driven a lot of caravans and trailers. K

You don't know the science behind it because there is none, old wife's tale, power out of a fishtail!, the best thing you can do is to slowdown steadily to bring the trailer back under control.

Not many motors out there have the guts to accelarate out of a snake. First thing to do is drop it into fourth, add some engine braking.
