I was idly browsing last night while listening to Senior Management, and clicked on a site that was clip after clip and link after link, all "Neo-Nazies, Alt Right protesters, causing violence etc etc" in connection with the so-called BLM protests, all right-wing thugs causing bother, well apparently.

BUT strangely BLM/Antifa/rioters/looters etc were NEVER once mentioned as the underlying causation.

So I looked for the provider, and what do you know, it was the Guardian, when I had suspected it could only be the BBC.

Biased was not the word.

Marcus

P.S.

Steve's posted link with the "football crowd" comment was spot on though.

When those on the left think the BBC is too far on the right and those on the right think it's too far on the left, maybe they're doing what they're supposed to be?!

I'm not convinced myself as they give far too much credence to the conservative government and UKIP etc in the past, but that might be because I don't like what they're saying.

There were decent law abiding citizens there for the sole purpose of protecting our monuments, the media won’t report on them.

as for the football bunch, well what did anyone expect

I'm sure that this is absolutely true and an important point, but the same thing can be said about the anti racism protests over the last couple of weeks. Far more news coverage has been devoted to the violence and vandalism of the few rather than the overwhelming majority who were peacefully protesting.

Obviously I don't have figures but by the look of it a very significant proportion of these "monument protectors" turned up looking for trouble and a fight, with BLM protestors or anyone else that they didn't like the look of.

“By the look of it”? You will only see the bad parts on the bbc and the left wing reports they won’t show any of the peaceful stuff so you can’t know unless you go I suppose.

of course the same will be true from the other side. The MSM will not ever show both sides on this for fear of being branded racist

Newcastle yesterday:
Why on earth the fascist knuckle draggers were 'protecting' a statue that is 30 odd metres tall and dedicated to someone who helped abolish slavery, I don't know.

I'm glad you didn't disagree that they are fascist knuckle draggers, you wouldn't half have looked daft if you tried to defend them.

It’s certainly brought the worst out of both sides of the issue.
