I think the days of the 365 new are numbered at least in the UK, FR Jones have moved over to 565 now. Don't know if the same trick works on those?

Stihl then you're a solid 462 for that size, or else find a secondhand 461 if you want old school.

I only use my 462 occasionally, but it's a really nice saw. Yes, it's quick on the uptake- but aren't Huskys supposed to be known for that? It's certainly controllable power, I really like it.

How did you get on with it?

Would not hesitate to get a second one or the bigger models.Handles a 36" ripping bar and chain with ease and tons of power

This is good to hear.

It would be very interesting to see how it stands up to your use.

I bought a "parts" kit a couple of years back on a black Thursday sale and it hasn't been as good as a saw as I'd hoped. Although I've read the complete saws use some superior quality parts instead of the Hutzl kit parts.

Are you running at 25:1 oil ?

Please keep the updates coming.

Yes 25/1 oil as recommended bob.The guy who sells them keeps around 2/3 saws (different models) in stock and rest takes a few weeks to get send over.
