Same old same old ie chopping logs. No idea if there will be a market for them next season but might as well crack on and hope for the best. Quite a few calls for processing coming in as well but might leave that for a lull in proceedings.

People are not going to stop needing logs are they, A lot have no access to gas central heating and have solid fuel systems installed so why the glum outlook ??

For many of our customers they are a luxury in centrally heated homes. If things are tight I can imagine logs will be low on the priority list. Then there are a few who are totally reliant on us for logs who will probably keep the wolf from the door. Not glum as such just pragmatic.

Myself and tom have a big stockpile of trees i cut down last year which should give us 20/30 cube and my 4/5 regular customers who i only really supply will take up that lot. Mainly softwood with some sycamore so will sell as mixed £65 ton bag

Hi, can I just ask, how did you hollow the centre out. I needed to hollow a log out a few months ago and used a 120mm dewalt self feed bit, and it was bloody hard going.
Cheers

But if you're a small Limited Company with the Director being the sole employee (guess who) then it starts to look less rosy.  And if you've not been taking a salary in order to help pay back start up costs, then at the minute you get rod all.

Yep. That's me.

Plenty worse off than me, I am fine with it all so far.

Although still working, whilst stuck in house, I'm getting plenty of decorating done, ready to put the house up for sale.

Are you involved with this virus working as you do for the NHS harvey ?
