How easy to sharpen them?

Sharpen like a normal chain depending on what type you have, The modern ones tend to have a thick wide chain so that is totally different, This is similar how i do mine but i use a water grinder

Ive just invested in a used Makita one. No used it yet though, someone dropped it off when I was in Norway. :D 

 

Chains are pricey and Makita say they cannot be sharpened, but I found a company on-line that does them in Englandshire. Seems like folk in the US have them sharpened to. Under £30 sharpened and returned inc vat. Ive seen chains and sprockets on ebay for about £130 new, but generic no names, so no idea of the quality.
