Treat yourself and get makita, last a life time, batteries are amazing, most of their other tools are top notch , I wouldn’t bother getting cheap orbitals if you think chainsaws are tough on the hands.

I use Makita and Bosch power tools but I personally wouldn't pay the money for them for ocassonal use around the house.

I got a makita DHP482  drill battery 5amp and fast charger buying seperate was cheaper than a kit, no box though.

 

Was £130  total online

Metal gearbox sounded good  so went for the brushed motor mid range one.

Some of the top brands like Milwaukee are going (relatively) cheap if you get the last generation and if you're looking at getting a few tools it's probably better value to get a pack with a couple of batteries then blank tools after.

For home use I would also consider aldi's workzone range, I've been using their 18v drill and impact driver for over a year now, since my much more expensive Hitachi burnt out. Ive given both above average domestic use. 3 year no quibble warranty and they're decent quality. both lidl and aldi do the same battery across their respective ranges which is handy. Worth a look imo.
