Its arrived! Seems mint!

Thanks Bill
Doing some rough timings with the iPhone stopwatch.... the Echo TS2511CS 25cc Chainsaw was averaging between 7.2 to 7.8 second. with a clearer run at the log.
The Makita was running at about 4.1 to 4.4 seconds and you was having to roll it a bit to cut it.
So I would have a stab in the dark and say that the Makita 36v equates to a 30cc to a 35cc saw in engine size.

So that is not a bad chainsaw to be fair for taking the limbs off a stem.... But the real test will be chugging down a stem with some weight pressing down on the chain and bar... One thing I have noticed is that Battery Chainsaws run on revs and not torque. Put them under load and they struggle.

Any chance you could do a test chugging down a 8-10" stem with some weight pressing down on the chain and bar?

Does it have better power than the single battery mak topper version or just longer battery life? (& heavier)

The one battery ones spec has faster chainspeed 24 m/s v for the dual battery 20 m/s  -  bit odd?

But probably  double battery has more torque?

Would be good to test them against each other.....

The single battery hedge mak trimmer is better than the dual battery one i reckon.....(not tried the dual battery one but the spec was not as good & it was an older model)

The 18v one is much much lighter and mint for reductions but you wont be burying the bar often with it. Fine for the odd 6'' cut but a bit slow. the 36v top handle is very noticeably more powerful, faster and more torque, and longer cut time, probably more like a ms190t rather than a 200t like

Update:

The 36v top handle is mint. Have done a good few medium dismantles with this including chogging down stems with this. Its class up to 12" diameter and less rapid over this.

Did a decent size multi stem  syc the other day, maybe6 or 7 stems, didnt get through the 6 5ah 18v batteries ( equivilent of 3 x 5ah 36v batteries)

@doobin is your man - he swears by an eBay copy (but I’m not sure which).

Waitley brand on eBay mate.

Look like this- available in other sizes too. The Makita genuine charger doesn't like the 9AH, but the Chinese chargers will charge them- takes a good hour though.
