Guys please beware.. i just had a phone call from 'Thomas cook' to refund my holiday .. ive not booked a holiday! I played along with the call until he asked for my long card number, expiry date and security code! When i called him out and told him he was a scamming prick and there was no holiday ever booked with thomas cook he ended the call.
Private number! ? please warn your friends and family! That could of easily been fallen for if i was one of the many people waiting to hear about a refund ?

Going on around here too. Trading Standars posted about it on local Facebook pages yesterday.

Funnily enough Dan, I’ve had some of my biggest pay days from calls on a Sunday night that came up withheld.
Some honest people withhold their numbers for reasons best known to themselves.
Naturally I’m on my guard to smell a rat, but now n then it all works out rather well.

had that one this morning and i am pretty sure the one i had yesterday about my BT internet conection that i hav,ent got was the same guy from the far east ? just be careful he was,ent on phone long after i told him he was a paracite,

Same, I don't like answering to numbers that aren't local as it will often be junk, but sometimes it does surprise me and you'll get someone with a holiday home or whatever.

 

In saying that, don't think anything good has ever came from a London (020) call

I had that call this morning and didn’t stop to think.

Gave him all my ex’s card details.
