Hes survived (thankfully) with bumps and breaks. 
 

So notwithstanding the lapse in concentration that led to the accident, what might have been the effect it he’d had a second TiP? Pulled in half??

It would have either crushed his pelvis, ripped him in two or snapped the other anchor out and insult to injury a second top lands on him when he eventually hits the deck.
