What about a home made/diy/heavily modified vehicle?
For 20k you could get a ridiculous vehicle made.
Defender chassis,
Perkins engine,
Up rated everything,
Ranger body for comfort,
Forestry/hort registered...

I've seen you mention horticultural registration on here before. What's the score?

Honestly don't know.
But I'll be writing a letter to dvla/hmrc etc to ask formally about re regeistering.
I'll post both up when I get round to it.

be careful on this, they wont change a vechicles taxation class. I tried this with a converted disco, tried to get it changed to a van (fully converted) and they wouldnt have it no way.

Yes they will, my motorhome started it's life as a 7.5T commercial vehicle and taxed as such. It's now classed as a motor caravan on the V5, and taxed differently.

I've seen a Peuguot Partner ATV/4 x 4 for sale. Are they any good? Would it go offroad at all? Tow a chipper?

The Gendarmes use them in really rural areas. I've seen a few for sale. My mate the scrappie reckons they're pretty good off road.

I'm grinding some stumps Monday morning for the 2 i/c of the local Gendarmerie,  I'll see what he thinks of them.

There is a new version, the 'Rifter'

It is around 25k

I'd love one but I'd need to grow more cannabis and sell more meth to afford one at French tax rates...

Iv driven a Rifter . Did not particularly like it . Softly sprung , very intrusive " driver aids " some of which you can turn off but default to on every start up .  Gutless 1500 cc diesel ( non turbo ) and needs addblue .
