I had a mate who was a bit veggie, he had leather shoes from France, they were made from the leather of cows that where looked after well for their whole lives and then when they died of natural causes their leather was harvested.

Made him feel better about wearing leather and a hell of a lot better than plastic shoes!

Wonder what Hindu’s make their shoes from?

I had an employee who used those boots.

They were not waterproof and the sight of carrier bags peeking over his boot tops cracked me up every time.

That Monty Don series bout Japeses gardens, I noticed all the tree ninjas with silkys were wearing snazzy canvas boots:

 

Not chainsaw boots but they have steel toe caps

If they are made of similar crap that vegan burgers are, i'm not surprised

Dead Vegans do have a use...Necro pants are environmentally friendly and very cheap if you have a supply of vegans... or live near a grave yard or have access to Hospital bins , not sure how you would tell in they are vegan or not. Maybe befriend a Vegan first , get pants later by encouraging dangerous sports / hobby's?  just remember to be patient otherwise its called murder.
