Does your Brittany bike have a scabbard for baguettes or are you sufficiently assimilated to carry them in your sweaty armpit? I was riding a friend’s Tricross yesterday. Streetfighter’d with appallingly wide flat bars. A town weapon.

I have a Tricross in Morocco. Was single speed but converted to a 5spd sturmey with bar end shifter.

The Brittany treader has a bottle cage that takes a non-halal bottle of wine.

As for baguettes, I buy the softest baked ones, this job takes all available energy and chewing a baguette de tradition is just too much for me.

Work has picked up nicely, a lot to do with the superb weather here I reckon. Still waiting for it to fall off a cliff, seem to have been saying that for years.

We had a dry winter after a dry autumn, water levels never recovered after last summer.

Absolutely not!

I don’t mind a bit of digging for the amount I do, and this wouldn’t have been much quicker with loading and transport.

I would like to do more planting though.

A local oik has just started splattering the village FB group with his new 0.8t machine, stating that he is available for ‘tree stump removal’.
