Echo 2511 woes?

Amazing saw but after using for a couple of months its in the habit of quite often "running on" when idling (feels a bit like those last few seconds of revving before a saw runs out of fuel).  Also needs a blip on the trigger to start most times.  Not a pro at tuning but any simple tips/solutions appreciated.  Or any online help videos on fixing problem?  I can try to film and post a short video clip if that helps.

These saws are not the easiest to get right, that's for sure! You will also need the magic "D" screwdriver!

Love my little Echo, run it on aspen and it just cuts out on tickover from time to time.

 

Today I forgot the aspen and ran it on normal 50/1, ticked over all day on the belt, go figure.

I've found on a few saws that you need to rich up the L screw when swapping to Aspen to get them to tick over reliably.

Ok thanks, I have to say any adjustments of carb screws on my saws (by me) has always ended badly

Great little saw but a fickle thing. Spud has done the muffler mod to mine. Cuts beautifully but to keep it on tick over I have had to set the idle quite high. Sounds like it’s idling high but stops it from cutting out when on the harness or coming off the throttle after a cut.
Yes they do need a blip of throttle to start. Seems common with them. They definitely have quirks but such a light saw is a joy to climb with for reductions etc.

It’s an absolute knockout for climbing, brilliant.
