Van insurance

Is it a piss take? My van, (business insurance) was £241 fully comp last year. Received my renewal today, £297, not including tools. So they want an extra fifty odd quid/year for a van 1 year older with me having another years NCB.

I'll ring Aviva on Monday to see what I can do.

I was with aviva eggs 3 yrs ago, had same scenario, have since swapped to axa, then hastings, now with budget van insurance. £205 fully comp. i only spec £500 contents on that though which is pretty standard i think now a days. Insurance is grim for everyone i think these days with all false claims and theft.

I really don't mind paying my way, and I've been with Aviva, was Norwich Union for getting on twenty years, one claim, Water Ingres through a conservtery roof, second when my ex missus wrote off a motor insured in my name, I don't like having my pants pulled down though. Ok, it's fifty quid, and I could loose that playing cards on a Sunday afternoon, that's my risk mind.

If you want £60 off = https://www.topcashback.co.uk/aviva-van-insurance/

(it will take months to appear in your account though)

For me, NCB doesn't seem to make any difference, full or none. Never had a claim in my life, but you can only use it on 1 policy at a time

Thank you. I'll have a proper look at the link tomorrow.

Renewed my old truck as usual, 855 full comp. Nfu

When i rang to insure the brand new truck, which was only four years younger, exactly the same vehicle, they wanted 1666!

Got a quote online for 565 with gladiator.

Ok, so rang them,to arrange, then he told me its gone up 130 as i had a single vehicle accident in 2017 in my car. I didnt, the wife did. She backed into a lamppost in her works carpark. Long story short, i ended up withdrawing the claim, and not bothering with the repair. But because i have registered it, they are charging me extra. Absolute buggers. Still cheaper than nfu though!
