Becoming an echo convert myself, picked up a 501sx to go beside the chipper and cross cut smaller stuff etc, fantastic machine, not as agile as a 550 but once run in it's got plenty of power.

yes just been given a 501sx from echo to test and review it so i will be putting it through its paces over the next few weeks it defiantly feels i little lighter than my 550xp with a 15 sugi pro light bar i think it mite hold its own against a 550 obviously not in high revs but pure low down power for sure time will only tell and see how i get on with it

I really like the fact mine came with a sugi hara bar as standard. I really rate them. It's a torquey saw for sure. Might take a drill to the exhaust, I've been told they are rather choked up for emissions regs.

Gut the muffler on that 7910 and advance the timing a bit, and they really come alive.

No issues with oiling the chain so far.

Haven't noticed any oil seepage, but the shelves and back of the jeep are well oiled from years of leaky stihls and damaged hydraulic pipes etc. So you wouldn't tell at a glance. I'll have a look tomorrow.

Have used a 620sx . What a saw that is if I were in the market for a 60cc saw I would have one without a doubt over anything else in the 60cc range at the moment. I’ve used it for weeks on end clear felling and has been brilliant. Also you don’t need a laptop to fix it .

I love my husky 562. I haven’t owned the echo 620 but by all accounts they are very good. Looking forward to echo releasing some bigger saws.

The 462 is underpowered for a 70cc saw.
It won't pull a 25" bar, where as a 440 would.
The 500i has a low chain speed in the wood 10krpm.
Yes they are both light, but they run 20" bars.
I run 18" bar on my 261.

My 462 pulls a 25" bar with no issues at all.
