No Steve, its all marketing. They've simply changed a £10 part to make the saw slower...

R&D, slammed.

ATM the percentage of battery to petrol sales is tiny but it is increasing all the time. The interesting thing is that nearly every single owner of a battery machine cant praise the product more. I know there will always be the odd issue but in general it is the future and it works quite well.

Cant comment on the new MS161T as I haven't trialled it  but it looks good on paper and if it does meet the improvements over the MS160T then it will be very impressive indeed.

I wonder how far off the pro 50cc equivalent saw is?

It not hard importing from the States - easiest way is arrange for someone you know who travels to and fro to bring the item over.

Have it delivered direct to their address over there.

I have done this previously successfully.

FedEx and tax makes forwarding into the UK expensive.

I'd be all over it if not for the fact that the 160 was significantly lower on power than the petrol equivalent. So much less to go wrong with a battery motor.

It looks like they're making improvements all the time so ill be watching this space.

Can't imagine Echo will hang around too long releasing it in the UK also
