Yep it's a very strange situation. Very easy to make arrests, all the offenders are in one space and aren't hiding. So what is it all about then? Is it a case of PC to the extreme causing Mr PC to do nothing but stand and watch?

 

Im sure if I broke into an office and started trashing the place I would be arrested and locked up in no time.

Those are the actions of total arseholes, when I used to live on the road we only took sites on derelict land and tried to leave them as we found them, lived on a site near Chichester where the Irish came and tipped all there shite, we weren’t given a choice!

A pity "They" could not bus a platoon of fit  over-trained  & bored spoiling-for-a-fight squaddies up from Aldershot, with simple instructions to clear the site and we, the brewery will provide the beer afterwards, a kinda a simple win-win.

On the pretext they were simply coming up to do the brewery tour and the travellers picked a fight with them.

No, it is not quite so easy as that. 

You can be judged fiscally resident in the country of your main source of income regardless of residency.

Yes but there are ways around that, if you're wealthy enough to hire the right accountants, business managers, grease the right palms in government etc. Though we're finally starting to catch up with the buggers, Amazon, Apple etc.

You’re right to point out the tax inequality between the rich and the poor(er) but would you rather everyone was equal and paying little tax or everyone was equal and paying a lot? I’d certainly prefer people were paying little, therefore keeping the state at a tolerable size.
