I may try one of them drill pumps to get fuel back out of tractor when not in use so can't be pinched 👍

Milwaukee m18 transfer pump is what you want. Incredible.

As above . For around £200 its a good buy . ( take no notice of the Milwaukee hater if he pops up ! 😁 )

Not used it much yet but got a 12v oil pump for about a tenner in lidl a while back. Maybe more suited to small tanks as I think it was quite slow

 

 

I once used an old 240v pond pump for diesel. No idea where that went, maybe it's buried in a shed somewhere, or maybe somebody borrowed it

I bought a rotary hand drum pump when I had to remove oil from power pack.

Those drill pumps often say no to oil but they are cheap and would work at least once. They are great for water butts, filling ponds and I made an excellent pond vac out of one, it gets rid of pond sludge and fish crap very effectively.
