I’m not a weed smoker anymore but have no objection to it if it’s not in Work time or affecting you the next day. I have worked with Lads who smoked a joint in the morning before work and said to them how would you like it if I drank a few whiskeys before work? They understood and it was stopped.
As for tattoos, I see no issue unless you have a profanity tattooed across your forehead. Most tattoos are artwork nowadays and I think most people appreciate them.

I don't have issues with cigarette smokers, as long as they don't throw the butts away in the garden, or light up in my pick up.

I wouldn't want to deny a smoker the right to have a fag, they can get ratty!

Indeed, you wouldn't want to listen to a nicotine deprived worker bitching all day.

I've noticed a few ads specifying non smokers. I'm just sore that I dont live up to some peoples standards.

That's mental Bill.

Are you sure they weren't coming off nights?

When I worked on the roads lots of the lads smoked d'erb. That's changed now due to random drug testing. I guess many of you lads work for small companies that don't do drug tests, so smoking a joint isn't going to get you the sack.

A lot of construction jobs have drugs testing for anyone going to a site induction (ie everyone). Then there is random drugs testing.

I have to admit that some of the guys on site really should be taking performance enhancing drugs though...
