This forum gives a pretty broad spectrum of life, business, humour, and sarcasm input. It's probably fairly balanced once all that goes through the mix.

 

Have you counted up how many voices said "yes go for it" as compared to those that said "Mmmm?"

 

It's all too late now, but seriously gutted for you.

 

These people crap on our dreams and get away with it. They're worse than opportunistic thieves and I hope karma takes a bigger dump on them.

cheers fellas, it means a lot to me not to get slated by my fellow tree workers. I left work early today, felt proper pissed off and mad with myself.. saw my wife and little lad, remembered all the fun I get from this job, all the friendships I have at work, thought about all the accidents and tragedies I've followed on this forum, and after an ice cream at the park with my 2 year old, I really don't have anything to feel bad about. The money I had set aside for a chipper upgrade has gone and I'll have to use finance now but other than that, I'm gonna earn that money back quick as I can.

Yes, chin up mate. Really do admire your honesty. Lot worse could have happened. Sure your little lad will benefit from his Dad's life experiences in the longer term.

I really do feel sorry for you, with this whole thing. But at the same time next to everyone on the thread said it was a bad idea, and you went ahead anyway. So if there is anything to learn from this experience, is that it is very important to listen to others (especially when many of them likely, made the same mistake as you in the past).

 

I know this may sound a little harsh, but it is really not meant that way and I really do wish you the best, for the future.
