We all say 'If it survived the storm then it should be OK with just a climbers weight'

 

As someone once said 'You can say that about any tree right up to the moment it fails'.

 

It's your neck up there, do it as safely/riskily? as you feel comfy - make sure you are there to fight another day.

All good stuff but why do people use the word "comfortable" all the time.

 

It's not a word that ever comes to mind when I'm up there.

 

2nd that...dont think ive ever been comfortable up a tree.

I still go out and do it most days though.

As for the tree,its up to you mate,if the cash is there for a mewp then thats the way to go
