It's been quoted £200 by a friend of mine for the last 15yrs ish who know my mam very well and loves 10 mins round the corner. And that's at mates rates as well

Sounds reasonable if that includes a bat survey, TM and a permit for a lane closure:biggrin:

A stump like that might be mattocked and winched out if a good stem is left.

I'm a greedy sort so I'd punt 150 post brexit pounds for the whole job but if it's just the tree I'd put that on Gumtree as free standing firewood £50 and watch the crowds trample one another to get at it...

I'd be around 180 with the stump ground out

Same.

Grinder doesn't leave the lockup for less than a oner.

That's if I didn't know them, mind.

Which is sometimes a blessing.

The way I normally do 'mates rates' is trading days at £100, or nothing, but the £100 makes us all feel better!

Only works with mates who have skills you can utilise!

60 quid if I was working nearby.

Maybe 80 if I had to go and quote it.

This as a standard job, but as its for your Mum then err free of charge I think:confused1:

Another £40 for the stump but then it would take 5 mins to sort that stump out.

They are the jobs I want.
